I grew up playing soccer, and am determined to convince my children to love it as much as I do.
I think that's why I was crazy enough to volunteer as a coach for our MBA kids soccer league this fall.
To sum it up: coaching 3 and 4 year olds is a bit like wrangling cats.
Lola played in exactly three of our six games, and insisted on being carried around by the coach (me) during the other three.
James wandered the field like a nomad, and I almost always found him eating/rolling around in/throwing dirt.
BUT...
it was a lot of fun and the kids on my team were adorable.
I guess this makes me an official soccer mom...
Now all I need is the minivan.
