Evening at Alki...

When Reece got home, we piled in the car and headed out to West Seattle to check out Alki Beach.

We ended up parking on the east side of the peninsula and walking from there.
All it takes is one glance at the city skyline to understand why.

 This place is phenomenally beautiful.
Pictures simply don't come close to doing it justice.

Naturally, we attempted a few family photos.
Always an adventure when you have a daughter who will only smile for candy, a son who just wants to eat grass and a husband who hates being photographed.

 Oh James.
Always, always the squirmer.

We walked about a mile to Alki Beach Park.
The trail takes you right along the water and offers views of the city, Magnolia, Bainbridge and the Olympic Mountain Range.

The actual beach is pretty tiny, and it's weird walking in sand without the sound of waves, but it was good enough for me.

We grabbed some seafood at Duke's before heading back to our car.

I'm a little obsessed with Seattle's skyline, as evidenced by the 40,000 pictures that currently reside on my phone.

I love this city.

The photo of Reece alone looks like it should be on a self-help book. So sad. :) I love seeing my papa with the babies! So cute! And cute shorts.

Ah, love Alki Beach! I'm not a city girl, but Seattle is pretty stellar.
