East Coast Chronicles: Chapter Seven...

On our final full day in New Jersey, it rained again.

Perfect weather, I always say, for a walk around the lake.

Sigh.
I love fall.

We spent our final day cozied up in blankets, sipping tomato soup and reading while the babies napped.
We braved the cold for a bit to watch Brandon's football game, where Lola yelled "BALLS, BALLS, BALLS" for about 20 minutes.

We drove around Morristown and admired some of the old mansions.
We wandered around Century 21, where I spent $25 on a pair of baby Kenneth Cole's.
Lola better start walking soon.

We dined on homemade spaghetti, salmon, salad and french bread.
There's nothing better than a home-cooked meal after spending your life's savings on city food.

Kim drove us to JFK the next morning.
We got a little lost, drove through the Holland Tunnel and got the scenic tour of the parts of Brooklyn that haven't experienced much urban renewal quite yet.
It was an adventure, to say the least.
And an unforgettable one, at that.

Thanks to Kim, Rob and Brandon for showing us a wonderful time, keeping us well-fed and reminding me how lucky I am to have such an incredible family.

We love you.
And like it or not, we'll be back soon.
