Seattle does a lovely job of providing its residents endless (free) activities perfect for passing a summer night.
Shakespeare in the Park at Volunteer Park is a perfect example.
I've never been a huge fan of the Bard (I wish I was more intellectual this way), but who doesn't love Taming of the Shrew?
We packed plenty of fruit snacks and juice boxes and prayed our children would take a liking to the tale of Katherina and Bianca.
We were the only people nuts enough to bring our children.
Everyone else brought their dogs...
But the babies did surprisingly well.
It helped that James found a few worms to squish with his fat fingers.
I nearly died.
Lola just needed room to twirl, so as long as she had a patch of grass to herself, she was happy.
Summer nights in Seattle are pretty tough to beat.
