Asian getway...

We spent Father's Day with the Atwoods in Bellevue.
They took us to their favorite restaurant from their Singapore days -- Din Tai Fung.
The wait was long, but Bellevue Square kept us entertained.

Lola begged to swim in the fountains.
When we said no, she asked for some money to throw into the water.
When I gave her a penny, she shook her head and demanded 18 dollars.

Kid knows when she's getting ripped off...

The food was great -- particularly the dumplings, of which I consumed at least 15 -- but the real clincher was the straw that came in the kids' water.
It was a work of art and kept James entertained for 16 straight minutes, which is nothing short of a miracle.

Lola cherished the single dumpling we put on her plate.
It quickly went from a dinner item to a pet.
She refused to eat it, but threatened to stab with a chopstick anyone who dared remove it from her plate.

Judging by the stellar dissection she performed, it's safe to say we may have a future surgeon on our hands.

It was the perfect evening, right up until both kids simultaneously puked noodles all over themselves, their car seats and the car on our ride home.

Reece spent a good portion of his Father's Day night dealing with the aftermath.
The joys of fatherhood...
