Happy Things...

Because I've been a bit of a downer the past few days, I've come up with a list of little things that make me happy.

Because really, who likes a wallower?

So I present to you, in no particular order, a list of my current legal mood-enhancers:

01. Cooking Light magazine -- Pretty pictures, drool-inducing recipes and free coupons. Maybe someday I will actually try to make one of the dishes featured in this fantastic publication.

02. Banana Republic -- If I had $4 million, I would shop here exclusively. Needless to say, I don't have $4 million, so most of the time I get my fix by filling my online shopping cart with goods, only to delete it several hours later. However, thanks to my husband, my brother-in-law and an unbelievable post-Christmas sale, I actually got to take home hundreds of dollars in classy clothing for under $100. If that weren't great enough, they send me a birthday card every year.

03. 30 Rock -- No matter how crappy things get, I can bet that Liz Lemon has it crappier.

04. Hostess 100 Calorie Lemon Cakes -- I believe I have already consumed two full boxes since Friday.

05. Finding new blogs to stalk -- If you are a fellow blog stalker, there's a 99% I already stalk you on a regular basis.

06. Frosted Mini Spooners -- I can't go to bed without my bowl.

07: Booking fake vacations -- Not a day goes by I don't visit Kayak.com to check for cheap flights out of Salt Lake City. One of these days I will book a real one. Just you wait.

08: Researching graduate schools -- As soon as we get Reece through this horrible process, I might willingly submit myself to the torture as well.

09: Afternoon naps on the couch with Lola -- Somehow when she snores, it's exponentially cuter than when Reece does.

10: Buying lip gloss -- It's become a disease. I. Just. Can't. Stop.

I suppose I really do have a lot to be happy about. Then again, I always knew that. I just needed a few little reminders.

And the clincher...

Gets me every time.

kids are that way, aren't they? it's hard to be sad when they're just so dang happy and cute all the time.

it's the jan - march blues, you know. gets me every year.

also, i meant to comment on your "quitting me" post. so sad! that was my worst fear, him quitting early. i was afraid to wean him when i did, mostly fearing making him sad, but it was SO much easier knowing he did it himself. one less thing to bring on the mommy guilt, you know? i hope you get what i'm saying - sometimes i have a hard time coming across right. that if she's doing it herself, hopefully that will help you feel better. her being full is the most important, and it doesn't matter how it happens. :)

Lol. Looks like she's working on her judo in that last one.

I'm surprised that DDP didn't make your list.

This post seems like a good time to admit I read your blog. I'm Cindy's friend, and I looked at your blog after you came to my parents' house for Cindy's shower back in August..and I've been a reader ever since! I love a good blog stalk, and yours is one of my favorites on my google reader. :)

Abby, DDP is a given. It's like air -- I figure it goes without saying.
