Roma: A Few of My Favorite Things...

Our European adventure started... and ended in my favorite city in the world.

Some say Venice is the most romantic city in Italy, others argue Florence should take the title.

Not me.

I'm all about Rome.

It's a fascinating combination of ancient history and modern civilization, dotted with the most amazing cathedrals, museums, ruins, bridges, piazzas and of course, eateries you could possibly imagine.

Here's a peek at some of our favorite places:

The Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum: Great views, lots of old stuff.

Piazza/Basillica San Pietro: Be sure to hike the nearly 600 stairs up to the top of the dome. The view is worth the pain.

Trevi Fountain: It's enough to make you want to bathe in it's glory. Also home to some of the best pizza and gelato in the city, as well as some of the most persistent gypsies. And don't forget to throw a coin in, to ensure a return trip to Rome.

Let's just make this part one. Because A) This post is getting ridiculously long and B) I have about 800 pictures to sort through. So stay tuned for more of Rome, through the eyes of Jessica and Reece.

Yeah! I've been waiting patiently for these updates. You are so lucky you could get away and go. St. Peter's looks gorgeous with the Christmas tree! Was this Reece's first time?
