We kept Lola up wayyyyy past her bedtime (a common theme lately) so she could watch her first fireworks.
All roads to Sugarhouse were clogged for miles with people eager to catch an up-close look at the best show in Salt Lake City, so we took a less-crowded approach and set up shop on Ensign Peak.
It was a bit chilly for a July night, so we wrapped our girl up in Reece's sweatshirt and prayed she would stay happy long enough to enjoy the fireworks.
Not only was she on her best behavior, she loved the whole experience. She squealed, she laughed, she smiled. She was fascinated with all the city lights below us and the constant popping noises coming from the sky.
In fact, she was so excited, she peed. All over me.
But it was completely worth it.
