SLC staycation: brunch and the nineteenth...

There's just something about a spring Sunday in Salt Lake City.
We woke up to a gorgeous, quiet day.

We put the boy in his bowtie, picked up the girl from her grandparents' house and walked to Squatters for breakfast.

Oh my darling veggie burger.
How I've missed thee.

From there we walked around downtown a bit.
Lola found an abandoned lot -- the perfect setting for rock throwing.

We walked on and paid a visit to our old ward, where Sam (who has never been to the ward before) was immediately given the job of program distributor and impressed the bishopric so much with his distribution skills that he was asked to give the opening prayer as well.

Erica, Reece and I laughed so hard we all cried.
Oh how I love the 19th Ward!

It was so good to see our old friends and to be back in our old neighborhood.
Lola celebrated by running around outside the chapel.
