Oregon: the end...

So remember how we went to Oregon and I wrote a small novel about it?
Well, the novel has one more chapter.

On our way back up to Portland from Roseburg, we stopped in Eugene to visit Jamie, Eileen and their kiddos.
Lola adores Wyatt, Dylan and Lali.

We stuffed ourselves on grilled burgers and laughed hard enough to burn off the calories consumed.
We love the Lowes and wished we could have a spent more time with them this trip.

Next stop on our voyage: Albany, for a quick visit with Abby and Brian.
Abby and Reece were best friends in high school and I happen to think she's the bee's knees.
We got to their house so late that we missed little Lydia, their gorgeous daughter, but we had a great time catching up with her awesome parents.
Pretty sure it's time to move back to Utah guys.

Lola found her own personal heaven in Lydia's playroom and preceded to take out every toy in the house.
It served as the perfect distraction from the fact that she was beyond exhausted and on the brink of a meltdown.

We finally made it back to Portland and spent one last day with the Atwoods.  Gina got Reece into the Columbia employee store and he probably could have stayed there for the rest of his life.

Merrill's office became Lola's "time out" area, but it kind of backfired on us because she loved the chair so much that she started putting herself in time out.

"I go to time out, OK guys?"

I am so glad Lola got to spend so much time with her cousins.
They are fantastic kids and I'm grateful my kids have them to look up to.

Not to mention the fact that James was quite taken with his Auntie Gina, which made it much easier for me to go for runs in their beautiful neighborhood.

The ride home was...
Well, let's just say we survived.

And of course, the ONLY time Lola fell asleep in the car throughout the entire 14 hour trip was when we were about 20 minutes from home.
Poor baby.

Can't wait for our next Oregon adventure.
An internship in Portland next summer, perhaps?

Wait a minute - so you have a Lola and a Lali in the same family? That is amazing!
