A love story...

We have four computers at our house.

My old college laptop that is as good as dead.
Reece's miniature college laptop that is quickly approaching its final demise.
The new laptop Reece "bought for me."

And finally, the desktop Reece "built for me."

Don't get me wrong -- I know my husband loves me.
But he adores his desktop.

So much, in fact, that I strongly suspect his main motivation for purchasing the new laptop was to distract me from ever gaining interest in his precious pet.

Tonight, my suspicions were confirmed.
Being too lazy to retrieve the laptop from our bedroom, I plopped down in front of the desktop for some end-of-the day Facebook/blog/people.com browsing.
I noticed Reece getting a bit fidgety on the couch.
I assumed it was the lack of attention directed his way.

He made his way over to me, pulled up a dining room chair and gave me a kiss.
Then he rubbed my shoulders, something he knows will immediately cause me to doze.
He laid his head on my lap.

He kissed me some more.
He tickled me.  He asked me questions.  He suggested I read my book.
He even tried to engage in serious conversation.

And that's when I realized... he wanted his computer back.

I am still laughing.
But I'm also still using the desktop.
