Having a baby has forced me to completely redefine my concept of a productive day.
Before my daughter entered my existence, I lived by checklists. 6 a.m. run? Check. Apply makeup? Check. Pack Reece's lunch? Check. Work 9 hours? Check. Groceries? Check. Make dinner? Check. Dishes? Check. 8 hours of sleep? Check.
The second she came into my world, my checklists started to laugh in my face.
Now I'm lucky if I get time to eat a granola bar.
Today, by some beautiful, merciful miracle, Lola decided to do this:
So instead of following in her wise footsteps, I decided to tackle three week's worth of this:
I put on an apron and made these:
I took a long luxurious shower (I will omit photos of this activity).
I vacuumed my apartment.
I changed the sheets on our bed for the first time since August 11th.
I read 50 pages of my book.
I pulled out my fall candles.
I wrote more Thank You notes (though I don't know if I will EVER finish).
I dusted.
Did you hear me? I DUSTED. I think I've only dusted twice since we've been married.
Thank you darling, for letting mama put a check next to so many tasks today.

What a cute smile she has! I love her chubby legs in the first picture.
I love reading your blog. You are such a good writer. Whenever your blog posts come up on my RSS feed I read them first.
Do blog post. Check.
That right there, is called The Light. :) It's amazing, isn't it? The cookies look delicious!
And is that a little strap thing for the boppy? Genius.
The smile is to die for! Happy checklisting.
I want to squeeze those cute legs of hers! She is perfect!
Oh her thighs!! I want to snuggle them! Congrats on a productive day!
Oh, LOOK at those thighs!! I love those things. Love. And it sounds like you had a wonderful day. I kind of wish I had been there to hang with you while you were doing all that.
wow she must have slept for a long time! I can't get that many things done during Luci's naps. Nope. I'm jealous.
