Weekend Update: 13 Down...

Here I am, in all my 13 week glory. Still just feeling pudgy, waiting for the "fat girl" stage to pass and the "oh, she's pregnant" stage to begin.

Notice the awkward arms over head shot. You can definitely see the growing bump in this one. It really is the baby, not the Pop Tarts. I hope.

My kid now has fingerprints. SO if he/she were to commit some kind of crime in the womb, police would be able to track him/her down.

I am starting to feel better... not as pukey. The one thing I have noticed is a complete lack of energy while I am working out. I have set a goal to exercise at least 4 times a week until the big "birth" day (we'll see how long this lasts), and each week, I notice myself feeling a bit more fatigued. My doctor warned me about this phenomenon, but I was hoping she would be wrong. I am learning how to "tone it down," which actually drives me crazy. This whole "gaining weight is a good thing" principle is a hard one to swallow, I'm not gonna lie.

There is a "European" doctor at a mall nearby, who claims he can tell me if I should start buying pink or blue in just TWO weeks. Our friends paid him a visit, and he was correct in identifying the sugar and spice (and everything nice). We might just have to head down to his fake office, because let's face it, the Ivins are NOT known for their patience.

Until next week.

ok....you still look amazing girlie. You're going to be one of those girls where it's like from the back...not prego, from the frong, not prego...and then you turn to the side and there is a little basketball. I'm already jealous.

Know the feeling, and the attempts at working out. :) I didn't last...pretty soon I was like, "Hmm..I walked around at Target today..that counts, right?!?!?" :) So glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. The fatigue won't last. Second trimester hits full swing and it's fabulous. :) Then the third hits and you're tired and achy again. Ahh! To be honest, we were talking about birth and babies yesterday with some friends and I would give ANYTHING to go back and do it again. It is such a fabulous experience, even the labor part. :) One motto I tried to live by, and still do, is to enjoy the present. Don't worry about tomorrow, or wish for yesterday, just enjoy NOW. You'll never be pregnant for the first time again, and everything is just new and exciting.

Nostalgia. Can you tell? :)

I went to the European doctor! If it is the one at South Town mall. He was right with ours. We went in at 15 weeks. I was sicker than a dog when I was pregnant but I found if you take 1/2 of a unisom sleeping pill and a vitamin B6 it takes a lot of it away. So you could try that!

You look great. There is a definite awkwardness in that stage of is-that-a-child-in-her-belly-or-is-it-beer. I make it a point to never guess a child bc if you get that wrong, you look like a fool.

I hear if you maintain exercise throughout your pregnancy you're much better off--easier delivery, faster recovery, healthier baby, etc. But who wants to step foot inside the gym preggo? Way to go Jess!

I hope i look like you when i'm prego. You look amazing! Seriously, still, you look like me when i ate too much or am bloated from PMS.

You're going to have to actually start looking pregnant if you want anyone to believe it. Also my bet is it's going to be a girl. And please name her diana. In loving memory of course.

you so do not look pregnant...I look like that after every meal-not fair. Also, I was thinking that it would be incredibly nice for me to miss my first trimester as well, because I'm known to over stress, plan and freak out, so it might be good for me to not realize i was pregnant like you...any tips? :)
PS.I'm way impressed you are still exercising, I hope to do that...someday....

GAH. I am a bad friend and a BAD blog stalker. I didn't even know you were pregnant until I saw it on Jenn's Baby Making blog.

Anyway, congratulations, girl! You look so fabulous. I think by then I was already as big as the J-Dawg's shack. By the end, I was a full-on house.

And good for you, missing the whole first trimester! From now on (after the baby is born), whenever you feel the slightest bit pukey, you will want to pee on a stick. Just ask me how many pee-sticks I've bought since I had Audrey 16 months ago. Ok 10.
